President Havel, in the United States to attend the opening of the Holocaust memorial in Washington, DC, spoke to reporters in a news conference following his meeting with President Clinton in the White House. President Havel discussed the issues brought up in the meeting, including the situation in the former Yugoslavia and Eastern Europe, and U.S. intervention in the civil war in Bosnia.
