A sad and inhuman stain has settled over Ukraine and threatens the rest of the world. Ukrainian children have stopped laughing since last February 24; women mourn their husbands’ heroic deaths. But in the midst of the rubble left by Russian bombs, the hope of freedom grows, the hope of never bending to Putin’s ruthless imperial ambitions. Hugs to the Ukrainian people who awaken so much pride in us.
