Annual Gala Reception: LIVING IN TRUTH
with host Lesley Stahl and some very special guests, including the winner of a new Lifetime Achievement Award from the Foundation and the 2023 recipient of the Unparalleled Service to the Czech and Slovak Communities Award.

Join us for a festive cocktail reception celebrating the legacy of Vaclav Havel with musical and theatrical entertainment, a big announcement for VHLF, and our eternal celebration of the Czech and Slovak communities’ presence in the United States and especially New York.
Highlights include:
● an extraordinary Lifetime Achievement Award to a very special Guest of Honor, who will attend;
● presentation of the 2023 Disturbing the Peace Award to a Courageous Writer at Risk to Egyptian blogger Alaa Abd El-Fattah;
● presentation of the BBLA Award for Unparalleled Service to the Czech and Slovak Communities to art curator Charlotta Kotik, also with us; and
● musical selections by cimbalom player Matěj Číp, a theatrical reading, and much more.

6:00-8:00 p.m. Cocktails and hor d’oeuvres, plus entertainment.
